  1. I haven't yet been able to reproduce this, but I have a ticket to look through all the connection code to get to the bottom of this issue! Thanks for bearing with me. Cheers, Andrew
  2. Installing in your home Applications folder shouldn't make any difference as Alfred does everything at user level anyway. Could you please give me a screenshot of Alfred's Clipboard preferences from your work computer? Cheers, Andrew
  3. Alfred operates across the board with a single anchored keyword per action, not keywords (i.e. they aren't tags). This explains why you can only match on a keyword when it's at the beginning of the keyword field. In the case of snippets, Alfred also searches the name of the snippet so you could in fact put the search terms you wanted into the name field and it would match, e.g. xen ssh sshr hv api. Hope this helps! Cheers, Andrew
  4. A significant portion of Alfred's users are on Yosemite and I haven't heard of issues such as this. This sounds like a deeper rooted issue in Yosemite than Alfred as Alfred wouldn't do anything to prevent you from force quitting him. Next time this happens, try sampling the Alfred 2 process in Activity Monitor which may give an indication of where this issue is happening on your Mac. Did you upgrade to Yosemite or do a fresh install? Also, you could try creating a new user account and trying Alfred from there (to rule out something on your main account causing this). 5. If Alfred is managing to open Busy Contacts at all, then he is successfully calling the URL handler to do this. What happens outside of this is outside of Alfred's control. Have you tried restarting OS X and Busy Contacts just in case it hasn't properly managed to register the addressbook URL handler in OS X?
  6. Alfred shouldn't be listing com.vmware.vm-package in the default results... how do you have Alfred's default results setup under Features > Default Results for file types. Also, could I get a screenshot of the Spotlight Privacy prefs?
  7. I don't think there are forum RSS feeds, and I think IP Board needs a mod to do this. If more people are interested in this, Vero may look into it further.
  8. This isn't possible in Alfred as cmd+c (and enter to paste) is setup to use the correct spelling for the typed argument. I can't think of a workaround to this, but somebody may be able to throw together a workflow which can do something similar.
  9. If you could drag one of the VM apps into this tool and let me know the output: http://cachefly.alfredapp.com/tools/AlfredMetadataTool_v1.1.zip Cheers, Andrew
  10. cmd+o on the default result may only work if you have the "Use Spotlight metadata for searching contacts" not ticked in Alfred's Features > Contacts > Advanced prefs, which will make Alfred use the address book API and addressbook:// url handler. If using Spotlight metadata for searching contacts, Alfred will ask OS X to open the metadata file and what happens beyond that is outside of his control.
  11. [moving to the help forum as more users look there]
  12. I believe you must have a Reminders workflow installed with keyword r which is doing some AppleScript to ask Reminders for data. This is discussed here: http://www.alfredforum.com/topic/5553-alfred-automatically-launches-reminders/ [moving to closed]
  13. This should now be fixed if you update to the 2.7 pre-release (in Alfred's update prefs)
  14. You should now be able to set scripts to run concurrently in the Run Script action in the Alfred 2.7 pre-release (from Alfred's update prefs)
  15. This should now be fixed if you update to the 2.7 pre-release (in Alfred's update prefs)
  16. This should now be fixed if you update to the 2.7 pre-release (in Alfred's update prefs)
  17. Pop an email to our info@alfredapp address and I'll see if I can help you out! Cheers, Andrew
  18. Alfred's mechanism for clipboard merge is actually pretty simple... he watches for the clipboard counter changing, and if there are two subsequent copies of clipboard data with incremental counter within a few tenths of a second, then it's seen as a merge action. For the merge to be happening in vim, there must be something configured causing it to do a copy to clipboard (or at least some clipboard fettling). I'm not a vi user so can't comment too much on this. If you aren't using the clipboard merge, you could always just disable this feature in Alfred? Cheers, Andrew
  19. When the iPad 'sees' your Mac in the connection screen, have you selected it to make the connection to your Mac? (the Mac will continue to wait until you select the Mac on the iOS device).
  20. Now that BusyContacts supports the addressbook URL scheme, you should be able to simply use cmd+o from within Alfred's contact viewer, or on the selected contact result in Alfred's default results
  21. You shouldn't need to enable anything for this... Which version of OS X are you using, and which version of Alfred?
  22. If both of you are getting the same issue, the Trello API may have changed? Can anybody shed any light on this for these guys? (I don't use Trello)
  23. You should be using Alfred 2 directly from our website rather than Alfred 1 from the app store... this is the version your Powerpack will activate on too
  24. Not directly, but in a workflow, you can add a "Copy to Clipboard" output object which you can essentially create snippets here and wire up like other workflow items. You can set this output to auto paste like snippets too.
