saneef
I'm using Alfred 4.6.1 with macOS Monterey 12.1. The 'Empty Trash' and 'Show Trash' system commands are not working Link to comment
Andrew
Check that Alfred has permissions to automate Finder in the macOS Security & Privacy > Privacy > Automation preferences. If he does, try quitting Alfred, deselecting Alfred>Finder, then reselecting it. Cheers, Andrew Link to comment
saneef
It's already checked. I tried quitting Alfred, uncheck 'Finder.app', check it again, and start Alfred. Still no luck Link to comment
Saez
Here works, but command systems takes a little bit stuck and I can't say when it begins. I use a lot "empty trash" and "Eject" and when I type "empt" Alfred stuck for 1-2 seconds (max) Monterey+Alfred 461 Link to comment
saneef
Finally figured out the cause of the problem, and fixed! Mac scripting with AppleScript (no problem with JS) was failing in my system. $ osascript -e 'tell app "Finder" to display dialog "Hello, World!"' osascript: can't open default scripting component. Then my search landed up on this post on reddit. Just like mentioned in that post an audio plugin was the cause! 🤦♂️ The plugin is installed since 2017. No idea, why the problem started now. I deleted the plugin. Everything started working! Edited December 31, 2021 by saneef suliveevil 1 Link to comment
