Move to ... (Action) can't move to Network Share - only copy!

Not sure its a bug but when trying to use the Move to ... Action and the target path/folder is on a network share it only copies the file. Is there any reason that can't be fixed?

To be more precise it's an smb:// share on a Synology NAS in my case.

That is standard macOS behaviour when moving files from one drive to another. You can use drag and drop while holding down the ⌘ key to overcome the problem (although I appreciate that may not be the solution you want).

@janthemaker As Stephen says, this is by design; Copying to a network volume can be unreliable, the connection can be dropped or slow. As such, the file is being copied so that a local copy remains safely on your original drive in case the copy fails.
