Why the name "Alfred" for this app?

Hey @Andrew and @Vero!

 

I've been a Alfred user for a few years now, and lately, I've been wondering: why did you choose the name Alfred for this app? What's the story behind it? (or is there any at all)

 

PS: Funny thing: every time I watch Batman movie Trilogy (one of my favorites) and Alfred Pennyworth pops up on screen, I can't help but think of Alfred the app! 😂. Maybe it's just me.

It’s simple really, we live in the UK and Alfred is a quintessentially British name which rolls off the tongue with ease and grace!

 

We also wanted to give our app personality, as our users spend all day with him, which is why he has a real name and not something like FastSearchInteractionBar(TM) 😛
