software-user
Problem: When looking up contacts, etc., names with an accented vowel will not appear if the search is typed without an accent. Explanation: languages which use accents on top of the words do not have two sets of vowels but one. Discriminating search results for this accented criteria actually multiplicates the number of vowels and hinders searches when looking up things fast. Solution: please show results for Martín whenever you look up "Martin" Thank you very much! Link to comment
vitor
Welcome @software-user, See an older comment for an explanation and workaround: On 5/31/2023 at 9:30 AM, Andrew said: Alfred uses the macOS Contacts API by default which doesn't support diacritics. You can switch Alfred to using the Spotlight metadata to search instead, which should then work as expected: Alfred Preferences > Features > Contacts > Advanced > Use Spotlight metadata for searching contacts Link to comment
